Women in Engineering

The Women In eNgineering (WIN) Program at The University of Texas at El Paso, serves as an overarching entity to coordinate activities and groups that synergistically encourage, enlighten, and empower (E3) women in engineering. Specifically, the WIN E3 Program develops initiatives designed to increase thenumber of women in engineering majors and careers. WIN is envisioned to have three major groups (faculty, practicing professionals, and students), with entwined activities and a unified focus: to inspire and empower women to unleash their creativity in the pursuit of innovation through engineering.

All female students within the College of Engineering are members of the group, and participate at their level of interest. Junior WINgineers are our K-12 future engineers. Outreach activities that are focused on exposing and igniting engineering interest in girls are facilitated by WINgineers.

Women in Engineering Support Team – All female faculty in the College of Engineering. The WEST group seeks to create, encourage, and foster a culture in the UTEP College of Engineering that promotes equity for women in the study and practice of engineering.

Women Engineers in Professional Practice are female practicing engineers interested in sharing their experiences, skills, and knowledge to assist and encourage girls and young women to pursue an engineering career.
